'''Armageddon''' was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event, produced every December (with the exception of 2001, where the event was replaced with [[IWE Night of Champions|Vengeance]]) by [[IWE]], a professional wrestling promotion based in Connecticut. The event was created in 1999, with its inaugural event taking place on December 12, 1999 at the National Car Rental Center in Sunrise, Florida. To coincide with the [[IWE Brand Extension|brand extension]], the event was made exclusive to the [[IWE SmackDown|SmackDown]] brand in 2004 (with the exception of 2003, when the event was made exclusive to the [[IWE Raw|Raw]] brand). In 2007, to follow the format of [[IWE WrestleMania|WrestleMania]], all PPV events became tri-branded. The final event was held in 2008, with [[IWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs|TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs]] replacing Armageddon in 2009.
