Eric Bischoff came down the ramp and cheered for Borske, who had the Ankle Lock applied on Simpson. Simpson rolled out of the move, grabbed the championship belt, which Bischoff had brought with him, and hit Borske with it. The referee saw this and called for the bell. As a result, Simpson was [[Disqualification\|disqualified]] for hitting Borske with the championship, ultimately resulting in him retaining his title.
