The concept of the show is that one or two [[Card (Sports)#Main event|main event matches]] are contested inside the [[Elimination Chamber Match|Elimination Chamber]], either with championships or future opportunities at championships at stake. 2020 will be the tenth event under the Elimination Chamber chronology and feature wrestlers from the [[Raw (IWE brand)|Raw]] and [[SmackDown (IWE brand)|SmackDown]] [[IWE Brand Extension|brands]].

Since 2011, the show has been promoted as "No Escape" in [[Germany]] as it was feared that the name "Elimination Chamber" may remind people of the [[Gas Chamber|gas chamber]]s used during the [[Holocaust]].

===Storylines===
The show will include matches that result from scripted storylines, where wrestlers portray [[Face (professional wrestling)|heroes]], [[Heel (professional wrestling)|villains]], or [[Glossary of professional wrestling terms#Tweener|less distinguishable characters]] in scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. Results are predetermined by IWE's writers on the Raw and SmackDown brands, while storylines are produced on IWE's weekly television shows, ''[[IWE Raw|Monday Night Raw]]'' and ''[[IWE SMackDown|Friday Night SmackDown]].''

On February 17, a Raw-branded women's Elimination Chamber match was scheduled for the event to determine the number one contender against [[Katelyn Kovich|Becky Lynch]] for the [[IWE Raw Women's Championship|Raw Women's Championship]] at [[IWE WrestleMania 36|WrestleMania 36]]. [[Shannon Furlong|Natalya]], [[Shane Leung (wrestler)|Asuka]], [[Angela Blake|Ruby Riott]], [[Ravyn Scott|Liv Morgan]], [[Sarah Grobel|Sarah Logan]], and [[NXT (IWE brand)|NXT]]'s [[Shayna Baszler]] were announced for the match.
