In September 2025, Nick Khan, the president of the American [[professional wrestling]] company [[IWE]], announced that the promotion would be hosting its first-ever [[pay-per-view]] (PPV) and [[livestreaming]] event in [[Italy]] in 2026. On February 18, 2026, IWE Chief Content Officer [[Triple K|Kevin "Triple K" Levesque]] confirmed the event as Clash in Italy and it would be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in the [[Inalpi Arena]] in [[Turin]]. It was also announced that the June 1 episode of ''[[IWE Raw|Monday Night Raw]]'' would emanate from the same venue. Clash in Italy will be held for wrestlers from the [[Raw (IWE brand)|Raw]] and [[SmackDown (IWE brand)|SmackDown]] [[IWE brand extension|brand divisions]]. Tickets for both events went on sale on April 10.
