Catapults are mighty weapons which are able to destroy entire islands.

===Notes===
+
-
Catapults are used to decrease the level on a building on the island you are attacking.
+
-
Catapults give an offense of 500 and a defense of 250.

==Catapult Destruction Table==
+
-

+
-
This table gives the number of catapults needed to destroy a given building level (column 2) or to flatten a building of a given level (column 3). it is very accurate, tried and tested on .de and .co.uk servers.
+
-

+
-
Cats destroyed in the battle have (almost) full destructive capacity if only a couple of cats are destroyed. So I usually go with the expected number of cats + 10-20% for the main attack, and then 1-3 cats on the colo fleet to ensure destruction of the main house.
+
-

+
-
Including cats on colo fleets that are racing for an '''unruled island''', is not recommended, as this will easily create disputes, with any other colonizers that manage to get there first and who does not add troops to the islands, so that your colo ship may be bounce instead of being destroyed. Be ready to pay compensation or to have the islands recolonized.

An example on how to use the table.
+
-

+
-
1. You want to flatten a lvl 13 building.
+
-
You look on the 13th line. The last number on that line is 5.7, so you need 5.7 catapults. You must round that number up, so you need 6 cats to flatten the building.
