Guru Pathik

Guru Pathik is the only current resident of the Northern Air Temple, spiritual tutor to Aang and had a good relationship with Monk Gytaso which suggests he was a good friend to the Air Nomads.
Description
Guru Pathik is a strong spiritual leader who appears to specialise in the area of Chakras (pools of energy located in a persons body) and tells Aang that if he opens the chakras he will have full control of the Avatar State. Guru Pathik was first seen in Appa's Lost Days when Appa flew to the Northern Air Temple in search of Aang, Pathik gave Appa a note to deliver to Aang in Ba Sing Se.
Pathik's attire consists of a orange tunic and various bangles, he also has a liking for Onion and Banana Juice (which he gives to Aang upon their meeting). Pathik also has a strong sence of patience (probably from being a guru) as he waited two days under Appa's paw until Appa fell asleep and he could move.
Training
Pathik was Aang's spiritual guide and teacher during their brief grouping at the Northern Air Temple in The Guru, his job was passed to him from the Air Nomads to teach the new Avatar how to control the Avatar State. Pathik managed to teach Aang how to open six of the seven chakra's, unfortunatly however he was unable to unlock the Thought Chakra and this became possibly infinite when Azula shot Aang in the back with lightning while he attempted to unlock the chakra on his own.
