1) What is a common disadvantage of switching to clean fuels for vehicles? A common disadvantage is that many of the vehicles and clean fuels will be more expensive than vehicles and fuel available now for the consumer.

2) What is the most overwhelming common advantage of switching to clean fuels? A common overwhelming advantage of clean fuels is that they emit less hydrocarbons and the hydrocarbons are less reactive and less harmful to the environment. Basicallly clean fuels cause less pollution than today's gasolines.

3) Does this article really answer whether clean fuels are feasible? Yes the article answers the question if clean fuels are feasible. Which the answer is currently no but maybe in the near future because our government and individuals of our society are not really focused on having vehicles that take clean fuels.

Read about alternative fuels at the AFDC. Pay close attention to the section Compare Alternative Fuel Properties, then answer the following questions:

4) List the fuels on the Comparison chart by octane rating, from lowest to highest: Electricy is not applicable, No. 2 Diesel, Biodiesel, Gasoline, Ethanol, Methanol, Liquefied Petroleum Gas, CNG, LNG,and Hydrogen.

5) Which alternative fuel has the most diversity to date for types of vehicles? CNG has the most diversity for vehicles besides gasoline.

6) Rank the all the fuels on the chart by their energy content from highest to lowest: No. 2 Diesel, Biodiesel, Gasoline, Liquefied Petroleum Gas, Ethanol,LNG, Methanol, and CNG. Electricity is non applicable and Hydrogen doesn't have a rating listing.

7) Gaging by the chart, what seems to be the safest fuel? The safest fuel according to the chart is hydrogen.

8) Do you have any way of gaging whether this chart was accurate or not? How would you go about finding out if it is true or not? I am assuming the chart is right because it gives references to the Vehicles Buyer's Guide and AFDC Web Site on the chart.

Read OUR OPINION: Smart growth vs. sprawl.

a) What are the issues and problems? Valdosta-Lowndes County residents are determining how their community will develop population wise. Residents are in the middle of deciding how their community will grow. The residents have to plan effectively in order to prevent any population sprawl within their community. Valdosta-Lowndes County consists of a state university, an Air Force, and a theme park. The state university, an Air Force, and a theme park can contribute to the Valdosta-Lowndes County area to grow rapidly. Therefore this community needs to plan accordingly to prevent a vast majority of people coming to the area without having the resources to support everyone.

b) If this where happening in your community, could you think of any positive or constructive resolutions? If this was happening in my community the only positive or constructive resolution I can think of is making sure their is a transportation system in place that will accompany the community. Also their must be aa law or rule enforced within the community to enforce recycling, so wastes can be properly discarded.

Read Scientists Hail San Francisco's Significant Natural Resource Areas Management Plan.

c) What are the positives of the plan? The positive of the plan is that it aims to protect San Francisco's numerous imperiled species and ecosystem. The plan also aims to preserve, restore, and enhance a small portion of San Francisco's remaining indigenous habitat and species. The plan doesn't want any plants or animals being pushed to extinction.

d) What are the problems with the plan? The problem with the plan is that the Natural Areas Program cannot protect urban nature without accommodating all forms of recreation enjoyed by the public without restriction. If the area is exposed to humans, there is a chance the area will not be perserved.

e) Do you think this is a possible solution? Why or why not? The only solution I can think of for the problem is to restrict human access. If humans are allowed to this area it will not be respected and it will be destroyed. The environment will be changed to cater to the human population needs.

The programs that work are the Childhood Mortality, the United States Agency for International Development(USAID),the National Family Planning Program: Title X,Equity in Prescription Insurance and Contraceptive Coverage Act (EPICC), and Abstinence Only. The Childhood Mortality program works because parents are most likely to plan a child's birth when they are assured a successful child birth. The United States Agency for International Development(USAID)program works because there is a worldwide effort to support and assist people struggling to make a better life, by improving people's lives in a free and democratic society. The National Family Planning Program: Title X works because it provides family planning services to women regardless if they cannot afford proper health services. Equity in Prescription Insurance and Contraceptive Coverage Act (EPICC)works because many insurance companies provide affordable contraceptives to women. Abstinence Only works because it provides teenage women and adult women with information about the benefits of practicing abstinence.
The program that doesn't work, is the United Nations Population Fund. The program doesn't work because the program funding is determined by Congress and its administration. Often times Congress and its administration doesn't provide enough funds to make the program successful.
b) The problems of overpopulation of humans involves the fact that our current consumption patterns stress limited natural resources and create wasteful and even toxic byproducts that affect the quality of life in communities around the world. An overpopulated Earth stresses our ecosystems and makes it impossible for Earth to sustain life. As humans we are overconsuming on water and habitats. The consuming of habitats has cause us to lose many species on the planet. The cause of our overconsuming will call the supply to run out for future generations on Earth. Since we consume so many natural resources we are producing to many toxins into the Earth. So much of the toxins are not being properly discarded.

The article point of view deals with whether rebuilding of homes after hurricanes should be done on the coastal regions that are vunerable. Many people of today's society in America do not care about natural disaters and they have a ignorant atttitude that it won't happen here. But mostly money matters controls whether building will tack place. Since there is a high demand and big business for real estate many people are concern only with making money. The welfare for fellow Americans does not matter. Therefore we have no ethics in this control because making money is more important than the welfare of people.
