Welcome to the Elia Family Project. In conjunction with the Elia Family Reunion of 2001, which was a great success, the Elia Family Project is a website designed to help keep the Elia family as tightly knit as it was when Maria and Nicola first immigrated to the United States from Sicily. The website, like the reunions, celebrates the 8 families descended from Maria and Nicola.

This site is ever-growing. Any information or images you can supply would be greatly appreciated. (Here's what you need to know about contributing).

  • June 6, 2006 On Monday morning, June 6, Ralph Barbarossa died of kidney failure. What always amazed me about Grandpa was that he seemed to know everyone in town. Norwich will miss him, and so will we.
  • May 28, 2005 Benjamin James St. John was born to Kevin and Rebecca St. John at 3:21 am on May 28 in Madison, Wisconsin. Benjamin was 7lbs, 12oz, 19.5 inches and mom and baby are doing great.
