Welcome to the Elia Family Project. In conjunction with the Elia Family Reunion of 2001, which was a great success, the Elia Family Project was designed to help keep the Elia family as tightly knit as it was when Maria and Nicola first immigrated to the United States from Sicily. The website celebrates the 8 families descended from Maria and Nicola.

Newest Entry: October 6, 2006

  • October 6, 2006. The editthis.info version of the Elia Family Project was begun.
  • July 19, 2006. Ian John Erskine was born to Andrea and Larry Erskine. He was 8 pounds, 10.5 ounces, and 22 inches. Mom and baby are doing great.
  • June 6, 2006. On Monday morning, June 6, Ralph Barbarossa died of kidney failure. What always amazed me about Grandpa was that he seemed to know everyone in town. Norwich will miss him, and so will we.
  • May 28, 2005. Benjamin James St. John was born to Kevin and Rebecca St. John at 3:21 am on May 28 in Madison, Wisconsin. Benjamin was 7lbs, 12oz, 19.5 inches and mom and baby are doing great.
  • February 7, 2005. Charlie Elia passed away. Uncle Charlie lived a long and full life, but he still seems to have been taken from us far too soon. He was in good spirits and in fairly good health at the 2004 Reunion in Norwich, and his mind was sharp even at the end. He was the patriarch of the largest branch of the Elia family tree; our hearts go out to Nick and Ann, Mary Jean and Irm, Charles and Judith, and Theresa and John. Uncle Charlie will be missed by the whole Elia family.
