Cameo: Er... what's not accurate about them? (Honest question, I'm not in LPW.) Couldn't you at least write something to replace them rather than leave an empty spot?

Last Post Wins is a thread on Mayhem where a lot of loose RP takes place, and a lot of leadtaking occured in the past. It is one of the older threads, and is also currently the longest on all of KeenSpot by far.

==LPW's Beginnings and a Short History==
Last Post Wins was originally a thread devoted to getting the last post, and thus becoming the winner of the thread. This slowly changed as time passed. A "lead" was introduced, and everyone started trying to get the lead in some fashion. By page 500 or so, loose RPing was interspersed with and also containing lead-taking, and many ways of saying the last poster didn't really have the lead had been invented. False leads, holographic leads, teleporting the lead, finding the lead on the ground where the last poster had dropped it, things like that.

By page 1000, lead-taking had become very rare, and the loose RP had pretty much settled in, with parties, plots, and characters.

At this point in time, only old posters who drop in every once in a while and newbies seem to take the lead, as everyone else is caught up in the loose RPing.

==A Short Summary of the Current LPW==
OK, we've got a pavillion, a hotel, curtains flying left and right, shrunken Lommies, evil Chibis, Gods, Goddesses, whole Pantheons, Epic-Level characters, cross-thread plots, people who've come, left, returned, left again, gone up the creek without a paddle, and turned 'round for nowhere, and a [[Lead]] that may or may not exist.

And that's not even scratching the surface. Oh, and it's called LPW!!! by everyone who's... erm... everyone... yeah. We all call it that. NYEH!

...And I'm going to give LPW!!! a duck, just for being LPW!!!

There are two distinct entities sharing the name of Cameo: Cameo the Author and Cameo the character. They don't look much like each other, have completely different powers, and the latter is significantly more hyperactive than the former, but the line between the two is often blurred due to the fact that Cameo the character is both a character in her own right and Cameo the Author's avatar.

==Cameo the Author==
'''Cameo the Author''' is strawberry-blond, fair-skinned, the owner of two lovely tannish-brown wings, and, being an Author, semi-omnipotent (fully omnipotent within her own realms). She tends towards dry wit, snarkiness and wordplay, with the occasional bad pun, and is much more interested in art and writing than her avatary counterpart.

Cameo the Author has also been known to complain of an '''Alien Psycho Sister''', a dreaded creature who has, thankfully, thus far not been seen on the forums. This Alien Psycho Sister is reputed to be small, green and incredibly annoying.

==Cameo the Character==
'''Cameo the Character''', on the other hand, is dark-skinned, white-haired and has unnaturally blue eyes, along with electrokinesis. She enjoys sugar, bouncing around, and shiny things, but has her serious moments as well (the former is much more obvious on the rare occasions when she appears as a character, as opposed to an entity shared between the two Cameos). Her past is significantly more mysterious than the other Cameo's; she has yet to discuss it with anyone, at least as far as we know.

Even though both their appearances and their powers are similar, Cameo is not related to Storm of the X-Men, neither was she (consciously) based on her. The design evolved out of an older character of Cameo-the-author's, and electrokinesis was chosen for her power as the result of a conscious effort to be unique (not too many superheroes have electrical powers).

==Cameo of Borg==
'''Cameo of Borg''', as she has been named (perhaps nicknamed), showed up several months ago in place of Cameo's usual avatar, recently donning a pair of kitty ears for Halloween. She resembles Cameo-the-character, only bald, covered in Borg implants and lacking Cameo's usual smile.

Her origins are unknown, as is her status and eventual fate: has Cameo-the-character been assimilated into the Collective? Is she the third, newest Cameo, having decided to show her face on Mayhem? Did Cameo the Author decide to draw Borg implants onto her character one day and like it so much that she kept the look? Is it something completely different that I haven't mentioned here? Only time will tell.

Shrunken

Wherein a person achieves a decidedly different perspective of the world and redefine their views on baggy clothing once and for all. usuallly achieved with the effects of soda, either unlabeled or sold in 24 packs.

Being shrunken has become a permanent condition for two (or is it three?) of [[Lomgren]]'s characters.

== Shrink Soda ==
Acts very quickly after the drinker consumes some. Victims of shrinking using this method are doll sized for the next two hours, then rapidly grow back to normal size. While it has not actually been described, the flavor is quote 'amazingly tasty'.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective and/or fetishes), no method yet exists for shrinking the clothing at the same time, unless one is using [[magic]], which has its own section elsewhere, or at least should.

Amazingly, the real world has created [http://www.imjustdrinking.com/wiki/index.php?title=Drink:Shrink_Soda a cocktail] named after Shrink Soda. This beverage is highly alcoholic, and claims only to shrink one's brain.

Mayhem Laws of Physics

Believe it or not, there are actually many laws of physics that govern [[Mayhem]], although even these are frequently broken. These generally are, however, vastly different from those of [[Earth]].

==Some of the Laws==

1: Don't piss off the bartender of the RP. You usually get blasted or hit by

3: No ID Checks.

4: If a character is being played by [[Kum-El]], someone will fall in love with him before the day is done.

5: There WILL be one character everyone, including the writer, hates.

6: If there are no powers or magic, expect Super Tech.

7: 10 will play a female with a screwed up past.

8: No matter how weird or abnormal, people will ALWAYS be accepted, and able to find 'true love'.

9: 10's girl will likely prove the above rule correct.

10: School RPs always have a love potion of some kind.

11: [[Lesbians]] will always outnumber gay boys by a factor of at least 3.

Cuteness Defense Shield

The Cuteness Defense Shield (or CDS for short) is the power posessed by certain creatures that are traditionally considered to be "too cute to be harmed". It is actually a tangible force, first documented by moogles. It grants the same protective qualities as an [[NPC Field|NPCF]], with the added bonus that it allows the one the field centers from to still do normal actions.

However, few have ever dared to test the strength of the Cuteness Defense Shield, so the exact limits of its protective force are unknown.

==Further notes on the CDS==

* It is to be noted that not all cute creatures have this shield. Sometimes, this is because the said creature is “too epic to be too cute to be harmed” (ex. [[May Cottontail|May]]).

* Yet to be known if it works against a pentuple-Hammering from a three tailed Foxkin Vixen after she has her way with [[Drayco|a certain moogle]] for a little item.

* The CDS cannot be mimicked, meaning that something that normally does not posess it's own CDS could not get one just by turning into something that normally does have one. (ex. [[Steel Spork Inn]]-version [[Drayco|Artmoogle]])

*Cuteness Defense Shields are known to cause a slight strain on the space-time continuum of whatever universe they inhabit, and this strain increases with the strength of the CDS and the number of them in a given locale. It has been theorized that a shield too powerful (or a closely-packed group of them) could create a tear in the fabric of reality, destroying whatever universe the cute creature inhabited along with all of its inhabitants within seconds. This has almost occurred several times in [[LPW]].

*Those who've studied the phenomenon find that a powerful CDS can be detected from an incredible distance away by any entity sensitive to fluctuations of space-time. This "field" has a strange attractive power towards any other CDS, drawing the two closer to one another and often culminating in cuddling or [[Tasteful Curtain|tasteful curtains]]. This effect is believed to be related to [[Snow-White Syndrome]], and is the source of [[ChibiMe]]'s single greatest fear.

The Massive Flaming Plane Crash Thread

A thread started by [[Piebunny]] in which there is a massive flaming plane crash (as if you hadn't figured it out). So far the passengers have had to deal with shrink soda, a dragon, a possessed plane, a nuclear explosion, carnivorous [[Following Plants]], a ridiculously overpowered character, the perils of economy class tickets, a potentially plot ending communication device (It was destroyed. Twice, just to be on the safe side), and an unstoppable superweapon that turned out to be considerably more stoppable than previously anticipated. (See below.) They have now managed to reach an [[The Island|island]], where they have discovered that they are not the first to arrive there...

Meanwhile, high above their heads, several spaceships ([[The Giant Spaceship Thing O' Doomness]] and [[The Hammer o' Justice]], to name two of them) have discovered each other. It is unclear what the hell they are doing in the story in the first place, but... meh.

==Major Incidents==

*At one point, another ship opened fire on the Hammer of Justice, thinking it had a bounty out on it. They used something called a D-Gun, a planetbuster that had some pretty shocking effects on the Earth,even though it was not technically speaking, shot at the Earth.

* The incident also resulted in sending a large portion of the ships crew to earth, as they took the 'fall in' order from General Store quite literally.

*This one guy on the crew of [[The Giant Spaceship Thing O' Doomness]].

*It was said by one of the members of this RP that once the first major plot arc was closed, the RP began to die.

I would like it pointed out that yes I did make a mistake after I misread a post in the thread. Something that others didn't point out until it became an issue that needed me to pull in a 3rd party (Lommy in this case). After which time I corrected it, and then made an event that I was able to pull in some of the members that hadded posted in a while (based on an idea with you which we talked about in msn). The last real action came about after I asked if I could be given time to post because I was busy with work and didn't want to have a post that was out of place of the rest of the timeframe of the thread. After that I asked everyone to wake me if they needed my characters (who had gone to bed after the events), if and when they wanted to us them for something. Nothing of the sort happened.

:Ex''cuse'' me? I'm not trying to say it's the true reason the RP died; though I'm not a lawyer, I believe that rules out it being ''slanderous''. I'm trying to say that '''some people said that''' (and they ''did'', although on AIM and such rather than the forum itself). I never even said that it was a widely held opinion (though it certainly seemed to be amongst the people discussing it with me). The inclusion of that statement was merely an attempt to represent multiple views.

:As for the incident itself, well... I've heard several contradictory opinions of what ''should'' have happened, and I've yet to decide for myself what would have been the best course of action, but it's too late to do anything about it now. In any case, what ''did'' happen certainly generated a lot of fallout (I'd say that continuing to be complained to '''months''' after the fact fits under this category), and that's a reaction without precedent or successor in a RP of Transgenics' scale (I'd expect it in the War, perhaps, but it wouldn't be nearly as big of a problem in the War).

Lv 7 Death is a Black Magic spell that is effective only to targets who's experience level is 7 or a multiple of 7. The effect of the spell is the instand reduction of the target's HP to 0 or the complete obliteration of the target, depending on circumstance.

Another version of Lv 7 Death is a Death spell taken to the 7th teir of mastery. This, however, is extremely uncontrollable and banned in 45 states.
