If not the best, then certainly the biggest, that the D.O.D. has to offer. For the time being, at least.

Carrier's are less battleships and more mobile spaceports. Designed to surport, resupply and repair smallers crafts, they appear as massive semi-sphere 2500 feet in diametre. The flat surface acts as a landing platform for anything bigger than a gunboat and is covered in various docking and repair machinary. The front part of the sphere is covered in nodules, from which the multible mechs and gunboats launch. And finally, two 1200 feet engine blocks stick 45 degrees out the back, to propel this goliath through the void.
