Facing Extinction was a DXX Pay-Per-View that took place in Miami Florida at the American Airlines Arena on November 30th 2008. The show featured matches from all three brands, with main events including John Cena taking on Nabeel Nawaz for the DXX Universe Championship from Mayhem and Matt Hardy vs Tristagi vs Shad Moss in a triple threat match for the DXX Championship from Massacre. DXX Rated's main event was originally supposed to be Montel Poter defending his DXX Rated Championship against Tristagi but this was later cancelled.
DiBiase forced O'Tuff to submit with the Million Dollar Dream. This match was originally supposed to feature Kompiler vs DiBiase for the DXX Millennium Championship
