An abbreviation for "Dopey Monsters," '''Dopémon''' is the common name for a type of bizarre creatures with potty-humor-based powers. In some parts of the world, humans known as "[[Moroners]]" capture Dopémon using odd devices known as "[[Dopéball|Dopéballs]]," then pit them against each other in ridiculous battles.

Though Dopémon resemble Pokémon (which makes sense, considering that they're a spoof of Pokémon), they tend to be slightly more powerful on average. Of course, considering how weak most Pokémon are, that's not saying a whole lot...

Contrary to popular belief, they do not resemble any known type of dinosaur; the misconception that they somehow resemble a dinosaur may come from the fact that the "sore" in their name sounds like the "saur" in "dinosaur."

Ibesores--both male and female--are constantly plagued with severe pains in their crotches. This pain is worse in males, likely due to the fact that their crotchy-parts are on the outside rather than on the inside. Unlike Ballbasores, however, Ibesores are often tough enough to resist the effects of this soreness.

The plant-like growth on a Ballbasore's back splits open as it evolves into an Ibesore, forming a flower bud-like object growing up from between two leaves. This bud is the location of an Ibesore's [[battle penis]], and will eventually grow into the much larger battle penis that Penisores are notorious for.

Ibesores, much like their unevolved form, are capable of using several Dick-type attacks, as well as a variety of others. Moves such as [[Rapid Dick]] and [[Penis Whip]] are performed by the [[battle penis]] located inside of the bud, and thus can be used by both males and females of the species.

Ibesore's signature move is [[Sore-Beam]], in which it uses the soreness in its crotch as a power source, first spending a small period of time charging soreness and then releasing it as a massive, yellowish-green blast of energy.

==Behavior==
Shortly after evolving, an Ibesore will behave in much the same way it did as a Ballbasore--pacing back and forth, clutching its crotch, and so on. As time goes on, Ibesores grow stronger and may begin to shrug off their testicular pain. When this happens, their movements become faster and they are much less likely to be spotted by humans or caught by predators.

One unusual feature of Ibesores is how once every month, their soreness will suddenly become worse. Younger Ibesores that aren't able to resist the effects of their soreness yet will often double over in pain when this happens, leaving them nearly immobilized on the ground and extremely vulnerable to attack.

Younger Ibesores will usually attack with a [[Nasty Smell]] if they are threatened, while older members of the species are more likely to lash out with Penis Whip or a similar attack to drive the attacker away. As their soreness is easier to deal with in this stage, some may just run away without any attempt to distract their attacker first.

Buttmanders resemble reddish-orange lizards, and are usually seen standing on their hind legs. There is a small flame at the end of a Buttmander's tail which burns stronger or weaker depending on the strength of the Buttmander's [[Fart (attack)|farts]]; a Buttmander which is unable to fart at the moment will not have a tail-flame at all.

===Special abilities===
Buttmanders are known for their ability to rip a variety of different farts. They learn a variety of farting attacks, such as [[40 Farts]], and they can also [[Fire Fart|light their farts]] using their tail-flame if they're careful.

In some regions, Buttmanders are known more for throwing [[Poop (attack)|poop]] than for their farting powers.

==Behavior==
Buttmanders are rarely seen without a mischievous grin on their faces--so rarely, in fact, that in ancient China a depressed Buttmander was seen as a sign that some horrible tragedy was about to happen.

Buttmanders love playing pranks, both on humans and on other Dopémon, and they will often integrate their fart and poop-based abilities into these pranks whenever possible. One of their favorite pranks is covering a rock in a thin layer of poop so that anyone who touches the rock without looking will get crap all over them.

==Habitat==
In the wild, Buttmanders can mostly be found in mountainous areas. According to ancient legends, there was once a field near [[Twerpy Town]] inhabited solely by Buttmanders; however, there is no proof that such a field ever existed.

==Diet==
Buttmanders generally eat insects and occasionally smaller Dopémon, which are immobilized by a [[Gas Swirl|swirling circle of fartgas]] and then cooked by a flame-fart before being eaten. They generally hunt alone, though several Buttmanders may team up to take down larger Dopémon if they are very hungry.

They do not particularly enjoy eating [[Poopy|Poopies]], but if nothing else is available they will accept them.

Fart-type Dopémon are known for their ability to fart on command even when they have not eaten particularly gassy foods recently, a talent that almost every Fart-type shares. They are also known for the smell and loudness of their farts, which can easily surpass those of human farts.

==Abilities==
The gassy powers that Fart-type Dopémon are able to use are extremely varied. Some simply rip farts that are very stinky, sometimes even to the point of being [[Poison Gas|toxic]]. Others are known for [[Fire Fart|lighting their farts]], ripping [[Loud Fart|extremely loud farts]], or even [[Fart-Flight|launching themselves into the air by farting]].

Farting attacks are hardly restricted to the Fart type; [[Fire (type)|Fire]]-type farting moves such as Fire Fart and [[Buttflame]] are common, and moves such as [[Freeze Fart]] consist of nearly half of the currently known [[Ice (type)|Ice]]-type moves. Fart attacks even extend into the more unusual types, such as [[Creepy (type)|Creepy]] and [[Homo (type)|Homo]], with moves like [[Weird Fart]] and [[Gaywad's Fart]].

==Weaknesses==
Fart-type Dopémon rely almost entirely on their butt for attacking. As such, attacks that affect the butt's function can be crippling to them. [[Poop (type)|Poop]]-type attacks, which often spread diseases that impair butt function, are highly effective against Fart-type Dopémon. They are also vulnerable to [[Icky (type)|Icky]]-type moves such as [[Nosecannon]] due to the fact that icky substances (such as snot) can cover the butt and prevent farts from exiting properly.

[[Metal (type)|Metal]]-type Dopémon are completely unaffected by Fart-type attacks, usually due to not having a nose (or being able to block the fart with their weapons before it reaches them.)

Fart Dopémon are unique in the fact that they cannot be poisoned under any circumstances. Though they are affected by the bacteria in Poop attacks, their immune systems kill the infection quickly enough so that it only causes Poop attacks to do more damage initially, rather than having long-term effects. They are also very resistant to Fart-type attacks, as many years of smelling their own farts has given them the ability to smell other farts without being badly affected.

As Fart-types are empowered by gas-producing food, [[Food (type)|Food]]-type attacks are not very effective against them. They can simply catch the food out of the air and eat it--though usually, they cannot catch enough food quickly enough to completely avoid the attack.

Fart-type attacks are one of only two types that are super effective against [[Sucking (type)|Sucking]]-type Dopémon, which makes them useful despite not having a direct advantage over any other type.

Though Fart-type attacks have no effect on [[Metal (type)|Metal]]-type Dopémon, many fart-using Dopémon can get around this by using flame-fart attacks, which inflict a normal amount of damage to Metal-types. The ability to light farts is also useful in combating Poop and [[Vomit (type)|Vomit]]-types, which are resistant to Fart attacks but take normal damage from fire.

This is a list of [[Dopémon]] names that were, at one point, considered for an actual Dopémon but were discared for whatever reason, usually replaced with the current Dopémon or just thrown out before I had even decided which Pokémon they would replace.

These Dopémon are considerably older than the rest of the bunch--they come from way back in the late 90's, when I was first making the original Dopémon website. This was before I knew about ROM hacking (and heck, probably before most other people knew about it as well, since Pokémon Gold and Silver hadn't even come out in English at the time), so Dopémon (then spelled "Dopeymon") was nothing more than a silly website back then.

A while back I attempted to hack Pokémon Sapphire into "Dopeymon: BlueBalls Version." It didn't go over well, since GBA games are tougher to hack than regular Gameboy ones and Ruby/Sapphire hacking is needlessly complicated by shitty programs that nobody seems to want to improve on.

It is best known as the first Food-type Dopémon discovered, though it is now known that it probably wasn't the first of its type to exist.

==Physiology==
A Primerib resembles a large chunk of cooked beef with a face, arms, and legs. For reasons unknown, its nose resembles that of a pig; this may point to a resemblance to pork as well as beef, which would make it the only Food-type Dopémon that has features from two completely different foods.

===Special abilities===
Primeribs are skilled in close combat, using martial arts moves such as [[Karate Chop|Karate Chops]] and [[Low Kick|Low Kicks]] to subdue their enemies. Their most well-known special ability, however, is their signature move, [[Razor Beef]], in which the Dopémon creates razor-sharp chunks of meat and flings them at the enemy like knives.

==Behavior==
Primeribs are easily angered, but are also easily frightened by anything large enough to eat them. They are especially frightened of fat guys--as well as fat Dopémon, such as [[Faticate]]--and will spring awake instantly if they detect the presence of a fat guy near them.

They become enraged at the sight of forks and other silverware, but for some reason chopsticks don't have the same effect. This may be due to the fact that, since they ''look'' like plain old sticks, a Primerib may not recognize them as a tool for eating.

Most Primeribs seem to recognize their anger management problem and attempt to calm themselves through meditation; in the mountainous areas where they live, they can often be seen peacefully meditating atop tall rock formations.

==Habitat==
Wild Primeribs live in mountainous areas, usually far from human settlements or in rough terrain that humans have difficulty reaching. Occasionally, Primeribs that cannot control their anger are exiled from the mountains and move in to cities, where they are preyed upon by [[Hobogross|hobos]] and mobs of wandering fat kids.

==Diet==
As Primeribs are made up of food themselves, they do not have to eat in order to live. It is not known exactly how they get the nutrients needed to survive, though some scientists suspect that they absorb them directly from their surroundings.

Primerib is a spoof of the Pokémon Primeape, a fuzzy monkey that doesn't actually look much like a monkey. It is based on a type of beef, the prime rib. It is also based on the idea of food coming to life in general.

The ''"prime"'' in Primerib's name comes both from "prime rib," which is a cut of beef, and "Primeape," the Pokémon that Primerib was spoofed from. The ''"rib"'' comes solely from the type of beef, and also acts as a second syllable to make it sound more like Primeape.

It is not counted as a [[Poop (type)|Poop]]-type Dopémon due to the fact that it is not capable of producing extreme amounts of fecal matter on command, unlike nearly all true Poop-types.

Turdles resemble small, blue-skinned turtles with brownish shells. Much of their skin is stained brown as well, especially their hands and the area around their mouth, because of the fact that they are constantly playing in--and even eating--their own poop.

===Special abilities===
Though Turdles are not able to produce large quantities of poop on command, they are still perfectly capable of [[Poop (attack)|flinging it at enemies]]. A Turdle can also [[Poop Armor|wipe poop all over its own shell and then duck inside,]] making direct physical attacks much less effective.

==Behavior==
Turdles, unlike most turtle-like creatures, are not very intelligent at all. Their mindset is similar to that of a human baby--if they are not watched carefully, they will often just sit and play in their poop for hours at a time, splattering their surroundings with disgusting feces. They also eat their own poop very often, despite the fact that it is unhealthy for them.

Wild Turdles are almost always being watched by older [[Turdturtle|Turdturtles]] and even [[Asstoise|Asstoises]], which prevent them from consuming their own poop and discourage other icky habits as well. Due to their absolutely idiotic behavior, many of them are killed by their own parents before they ever have a chance to evolve.

Turdles usually live near rivers, and spend most of their time sitting on flat rocks nearby and flinging poop at anyone who comes near. Ancient legends speak of a lake near [[Twerpy Town]] inhabited entirely by Turdles, but there is no solid proof that such a lake ever existed.

Turdles often eat their own poop, even though it is unhealthy for them. At early ages, they are usually fed insects and fruit by their parents; as they grow older, they will begin to hunt by covering their prey in poop and then eating it, poop and all.

They love eating [[Poopy|Poopies]], which (unlike their own poop) are usually a very healthy part of their diet. However, they have some difficulty digging them out of [[Poo Latrine|Poo Latrines]] in the wild, so they usually do not eat them unless they are offered one by their parents or their trainer.

Despite the fact that it has a flame on its tail, it does not qualify as a [[Fire (type)|Fire]]-type Dopémon due to the fact that the tail-flame only exists as a measure of its farting power and cannot actually be used for much of anything else.

Buttmanders resemble reddish-orange lizards, and are usually seen standing on their hind legs. There is a small flame at the end of a Buttmander's tail which burns stronger or weaker depending on the strength of the Buttmander's [[Fart (attack)|farts]]; a Buttmander which is unable to fart at the moment will not have a tail-flame at all.

===Special abilities===
Buttmanders are known for their ability to rip a variety of different farts. They learn a variety of farting attacks, such as [[40 Farts]], and they can also [[Fire Fart|light their farts]] using their tail-flame if they're careful.

In some regions, Buttmanders are known more for throwing [[Poop (attack)|poop]] than for their farting powers.

Buttmanders are rarely seen without a mischievous grin on their faces--so rarely, in fact, that in ancient China a depressed Buttmander was seen as a sign that some horrible tragedy was about to happen.

Buttmanders love playing pranks, both on humans and on other Dopémon, and they will often integrate their fart and poop-based abilities into these pranks whenever possible. One of their favorite pranks is covering a rock in a thin layer of poop so that anyone who touches the rock without looking will get crap all over them.

==Habitat==
In the wild, Buttmanders can mostly be found in mountainous areas. According to ancient legends, there was once a field near [[Twerpy Town]] inhabited solely by Buttmanders; however, there is no proof that such a field ever existed.

==Diet==
Buttmanders generally eat insects and occasionally smaller Dopémon, which are immobilized by a [[Gas Swirl|swirling circle of fartgas]] and then cooked by a flame-fart before being eaten. They generally hunt alone, though several Buttmanders may team up to take down larger Dopémon if they are very hungry.

They do not particularly enjoy eating [[Poopy|Poopies]], but if nothing else is available they will accept them.

A Cheekeen looks almost exactly like a chicken, but with slightly cartoony features. Unlike most chickens, its wings double as arms and can be used for picking things up as well as performing martial arts moves such as [[Karate Chop|Karate Chops]].

Though they are capable of flight, they usually move by walking instead and save their wings for times when they need to go upward, such as flying up into a tree.

===Special abilities===
Cheekeens, unlike most birds, can use their wings as if they were arms, performing hand-based moves such as [[Poke]] and Karate Chop. For some unknown reason, many Cheekeens are fans of Dragonball Z, and they often try to imitate moves from that series, such as the [[Zanzoken]] technique.

For the most part, a Cheekeen acts exactly like any other chicken. When threatened or challenged to a battle, however, they will suddenly stand upright and take on a fighting pose similar to those from video games and anime, such as Mortal Kombat or Dragonball Z. This unnecessary posing does not seem to enhance their effectiveness in battle at all, though it may unnerve opponents that are not used to it.

Cheekeens are also known for their loud voices. Contrary to popular belief, they never say anything resembling "cock-a-doodle-doo;" their most famous line actually is closer to "I've got a chicken cock!" and is usually (but not always) said by males. Other commonly-heard Cheekeen sayings include "Smoked potato!" and "I got a cock, ooh!"
