&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;This fad overused the post-quoting sysytem. Members typed something like:&lt;br /&gt;

 -[quote][quote][quote][quote][quote][quote][quote][quote][quote][quote][/quote][/quote][/quote][/quote][/quote][/quote][/quote][/quote][/quote][/quote]&lt;br /&gt;

This created nested quotes, also refered to as a quote pyramid. Someone in this fad would quote the person in front of them and type nothing else, then the next poster would quote them, and it would continue for a few pages. Francis said that this was overusing the system. After that, quote-pyramid topics were less common. They do still happen occasionally in topics, but as responses to the poster before them, not just as a blank quote.&lt;br /&gt;

Fun fact: The biggest quote pyramid was 25+ tiers, created by [[Members/Wacko McGoose | Wacko McGoose]]. He had attempted to make bigger ones, but the quote boxes became too narrow to show. Multi-peak quote pyramids also happened sometimes.&lt;/div&gt;</description>
