To add relatives to an existing character:

To Create Parents

  1. Find or create the desired relatives.
  2. Note the relatives' ID numbers.
  3. Find them in the save file.
  4. Include the term father={type=10 id=} and/or mother={type=10 id=} after the Traits section.
  5. Insert the appropriate ID numbers: Characters whose ID appears in the father slot will display first in the "Parent" section of the character sheet. Characters whose ID appears in the mother slot will display second.

To Create Uncles, Cousins, &c

Follow the procedure above, but using the appropriate parent IDs to create the proper relation. For example, a character's uncle will have the same father as the character's father does. A character's nephew will have one of his siblings as a father or mother. &c.

You may need to create placeholder characters. If you don't want them to exist ingame, be sure to include a deathdate prior to the date of the save game.
