Here is a good video tutorial on how to start out the game. It is the first part of a five-part tutorial. As many of CK's rules can seem overwhelming at first, and as the game lacks an in-game tutorial, this tutorial is strongly recommended for any newcomers to the CK series.

Also here one can view a playthrough as the count of Rostov. The playthrough is ongoing and is many more videos than the tutorial but it should help give players an idea of the game as the PC starts off as a weak, lowly count and eventually becomes a strong king.
