You can only affect the character by altering the world around him/her.
Will you put them through heaven or hell? Do you make their dreams come true or worst nightmares reality?
You can make it easier, or even possible, to persuade him/her by getting them drunk or horny. The "Judgement" status lets you know how much control you have over them.
