Keep following the dirt road eastward

You decide to keep following the road. Even though you haven't seen any other cars yet on this road, at least there's a chance someone will come by. If you went off into the desert, you could end up wandering for days...and you don't have food and water for days.

You walk for hours without seeing a soul. Your knee-high black leather boots are designed for fashion, not long hikes, but you don't let the pain in your feet bother you. You've been through a lot worse than this. You're more concerned with your water situation. You allow yourself a single sip of water every half hour, knowing you have to make it last as long as possible.

Suddenly, you hear a sound in the distance, coming from behind you. It's faint but coming closer. You tilt your head and listen carefully to make sure. Yes. It's definitely a car.

• Wave whoever it is down and try to hitch a ride
• Hide behind a large rock and see who it is before showing yourself
