Your father was a greedy man. Even though he held the highest position in the land, he wanted more. The entire world if he could get it. All of the riches, all of the women, he wanted everything. And he did horrible things to try to get what he desired. Murder, destruction, theft, blackmail; there wasn't anything he wouldn't do to get what he felt he deserved. And eventually, he did. Your father's death was the result of a riot in the capital city. You were lucky you weren't dragged into the horde and beaten to death as well.
Due to your father's example, you have grown into quite the manipulative princess. You adapted to his moods and behaviors after years of beatings and verbal thrashings, and in the end, you were the only daughter left. Your poor brothers were murdered the second their masculinity was confirmed out of your father's fear of being usurped.
As the only surviving legitimate heir to the throne, the duty falls to you to rule the shambled remains of his kingdom.
