Get out of bed and close the blinds

While closing the blinds, you see a purple blob flying past your house for a split second. You open up the blinds again, and start looking for what the blob was, when you hear a clink. You turn around and see a small metallic object on the other side of your bed, beeping and flashing with a soft red light. It starts playing elevator music as it falls through a hole that just appeared. This is strange, because this is the basement floor. You decide to _____.
- go and investigate the hole, maybe toss something in it
- close the blinds, and walk out of your room, hoping none of this actually happened
