You are Leon Scott Kenedy, a survivor from the Raccon City incident. After you managed to escape from Raccon City you drifted around a while and eventually found your way to Secreat Service where you got hired. Your skills from your time in law enforcement were improved and perfected after the Secreat Service traning and you ended up as one of their best agents and eventually ended up with the mission to safeguard the president and his family.

That's the reason why you are here in this desolate region of eastern Europe. The president's daughter, Ashley Graham, was kidnapped a week ago by an unknown group and she was sighted near an village in this area. You are on your way there to investigate if it really was Ashley and if it was, rescue her. With you are two local police officers who will lend any support they can. Their names are Pedro and José and you can tell they aren't too happy to get dragged along to this mission.

After an long journey on an old dirt road through a thick and desolate forest you across a rope brige over a small canyon and reach the outskirt of the village. There isn't much here besides a cabin and an old truck which has a lot of rust on it. You get out of the car you used to get here and ask if Pedro and José want to come along. ¨No thanks, we are gonna stay here, don't wanna get any parking tickets.¨
