You wander aimlessly though the seemingly endless rows of books. The smell of so much paper and ink has always been one of your favorite things. In high school, you had a library study period, and you greatly enjoyed the time sitting amongst so much knowledge, and gleaning as much for yourself. You see many familiar volumes, some which you've read, others which you intend to read. You see many more volumes which you haven't heard of, and you never could have dreamed that there would be so much potential.
Of course, you were in the library before as one of the stops on your tour when you were trying to decide where to go to school. Every university has to meet certain standards for accreditation, but this school has gone well above and beyond those baseline objectives. The general collection alone is as great as almost any other library in the world. Their special collections actually make your mouth water.
As you peruse the shelves, stopping every now and then to take down a tome or treatise that interests you before moving on, you slip through a small gap in two shelves, just wide enough for your tiny shoulders, and find yourself in a secluded corner.
There are smaller shelves, benches and quite a few comfortable looking reading chairs, with excellent light. Nearby, half-obscured by a few shelves, is a brunette. Further away, almost completely obscured, is a black man.
You really don't have any reason to be here, as you haven't even gone to classes yet.
