War Memorial. Church St is to the north. To the east is Woods Drive. To the south is the Cemetery. To the west is Fish Street.
You've reached the outskirts of town. You're on a patch of green with a fenced monument in the middle, depicting a heroic soldier, several centuries old from the looks of it. The memorial is not well kept; bits and pieces have already fallen off, and the base of the memorial has turned into a small murky bog, so it is slowly sinking. The grass is weedy and very wet.
The nicer part of Seashell Bay is along Church Street to the north, with several grand (or once grand) stone edifices. Fish Street to the west with its lowly wood houses looks positively destitute by comparison, but will eventually take you downhill to the waterfront. To the south and east, there are no larger buildings, only low sheds or huts. To the east, Woods Drive appears to take you out of the village inland. To the south, there's a small but overcrowded Gothic graveyard behind a high iron fence.
What do you do?
- Walk north: Church Street
- Walk east: Woods Drive
- Go south: Enter the Cemetery
- Walk west: Fish Street
