"Do you really like this place?" you ask. Annabelle nods.
"Then let's just wait."
So you and Annabelle wait for 45 long minutes for your table. You try to keep her occupied, but she isn't interested in your small talk and she isn't laughing at your jokes. When you're finally seated, you spend most of the meal in silence. It's awkward and uncomfortable. You know that you've ruined your chances with her.
