You lead the rat girl over to the display of roses. There are roses of every color available, and you can get them, singly, in bunches, on in pots.
"They're so beautiful," the rat girl says. "...I'm not beautiful."
"Sure you are," you say, like a good boyfriend. "You just need some prettying up."
You take a long-stemmed rose and tuck it behind her furry ear.
"Oh," she says. "Is that better?"

- Take her to the counter to buy the rose
