Creatures

Dragons: Dragons are intelligent creatures that come in two varieties - the serpentine dragons of the East, and the reptilian dragons of the North and West. They can take on human form whenever they wish. A Dragon can never die of old age. The Jade Empire is ruled by dragons.

Nations

Drek'thar: The Drek'thar are a desert culture that makes its monopoly in the slave trade with other nations. Their capitol city is Urr Ill, known as the 'golden city'.

Free Cities: Allied city states who have never gone to war, the Free Cities are known as a haven for the intelligent and technologically advanced.

Island States: Technologically advanced but politically primitive, the Island States are almost at constant war with one another. They are best known for their 'Dragon Sticks', which are able to launch metal balls with such force as to punch through a man's skull, coupled with the explosion of smoke that give the Sticks their name.

Jade Empire: A warlike empire with high standards of Honor that covers almost the entire eastern half of Midgard. They have conquered so many nations, and continue to do so, due to their use of Dragons. The Jade Empire is ruled by Dragons - usually a Dragon Queen. Dragons can take on human form whenever they wish.

Tsaesci: Another desert culture living in the Drek'thar desert, the Tsaesci are known for constructing monuments to their gods, through which they can channel magical abilities. Thank the gods this magic only works in their lands, or they would overrun the world.

Wyrmtail Northerners: Fierce and savage coastal raiders living near the Wyrmtail mountains, the Wyrmtail Northerners are known to sail across oceans to pillage and loot. The men have a well deserved reputation of raping as well as killing - any woman taken on a raid, whether another Northerner or a foreigner, is pressed into sexual slavery for their master. Northern women are equally feared - women-warriors in the North are known as Maidens of the Spear, for their usual unwillingness to tie themselves down to any man, though this is not law, and if anything Maidens are more prone to casual sex, with men or other Maidens.
