Pick up the stick and poke the gator

You pick up the stick and give the gator a good hard poke. The gator snaps its jaws at you, but it's too far away to possibly reach you. It backs off from your stick, then turns its head to the side. It picks up a fallen stick in its jaws, rears up and takes a poke at you. You're forced to back up unless you want to get hit.

Do you:

• Give the gator another poke
• Look for a bigger stick
• Apologize to the gator
