Civilisation: Dig for water

You decide it is probably best to dig for a bit of water, you wouldn't need to spend any time moving to a different location plus it is not dependant of the environment! You start digging a small hole and the soil is still as damp as the top soil. You dig another two feet down, spending about 30 minutes doing so. You're in luck! Fresh water springs up out of the hole! All the sand surrounding it act as a natural filter and the water is nearly germ free and safe to drink! You drink until you can't drink no more and than fill your bottle with more water. You now have enough water for the coming 30 hours! But what should you do next? Should you go search for food? Or maybe you should take another step...
