You decide to chill at the beach. You run through the rest of Sandgem Town and in 5 minutes, you reach the beach. Kids are joyfully playing with the sand and making sand castles. You notice a shop, and you walk towards it. "What do you wanna buy?" askes the shop owner. Your eyes look around and eventually land on a really cool fishing rod. "I'll take that" you say, and you lay the money on the desk. He hands you the rod. "Thanks" you say as you run towards a nearby dock. You sit down and start to fish. Eventually, you have a bite! You pull upwards and out comes a Buizel! Buizel land onto the dock, and starts to frown. "Go Piplup!" you say, and Piplup lands onto the dock. You wonder what move to use.

You decide to go to Proffesor Rowan's lab. You walk through your small town of Sandgem. Proffesor Rowan's lab is soon in sight. You see a door in front. Hesitantly, you open it and walk inside. You see three pokemon on a table, and an old man standing over it. "Hello, you must be the new trainer!" he said. "Yes, I am" you respond. You walk over to the table that the three pokemon were. "You have three choices: Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup. The first one is a Grass. The second is a Fire. The third is a Water. And while you think, I'll give you these" said Proffesor Rowan, and he hands you a Pokedex and 5 Pokeballs. You look at the three pokemon. Turtwig was a turtle. Chimchar was a monkey. Piplup was a penquin. You think hard, and you finally figured out who to pick. "I have made my decision!" you say confidently. "What is it?" Proffesor Rowan asks.

You are having a good sleep when suddently, an alarm wakes you up from your dreams. "Uhg...wait, It's my birthday!" You say, immediatly jumping out of your bed. You quickly change into your regular clothes: A pair of jeans, a brown shirt, and a jacket. Then you brush your teeth and head downstairs for breakfest. Your mother and father are waiting for you. "Hey son, are you excited?" asks your father. "Of course I am!" you say, scarfing down your pancakes your parents made for you. "Please, dear, do you know who to pick for your pokemon?" asks your mother. "I have no idea..." you say. She hands you a bag. You look inside. It contains money, a map, a cell phone, fresh new clothes, and a Poketch. "Wow, thanks!" I said, and I pick up the bag. "Make sure to call us!" said your father. "Your welcome here anytime!" said your mother. You thank them, then walk out the door with your bag. You are expected to go to Proffesor Rowan's lab, but you could go through Route 201.

==Creating a Story==
If you have an idea for a story, you might like to try [[Idea Pitches|pitching your idea to other users]] and seeing how interested people might be in playing your story, what you could do to make playing your story fun, and who might be interested in collaborating with you to write it. Once you have done that, you can create it by entering your desired name for the Story into the search box and clicking '''Go'''. If the name has not already been taken, click this exact title to start the story. There are three general types of story. The first is the branching-plot story (an example of this is the Choose Your Own Adventure series of gamebooks), which require the reader to make choices but are otherwise like a regular novel.
