Gerhard is from district seven, and he was just reaped for the hunger games. He is average in most ways, but has a particular talent for tree climbing, probably because he is from a district where lumber is manufactured. Every year there is a hunger games tournament, where 2 people are selected by lottery from each district (there are twelve districts) too fight to the death. Only one winner can remain, and that winner gets to live in luxury for the rest of their days.

Today, you step in Gerhard's shoes.

Light fills your eyes as you are lifted up on a platform into the sunlight. In a circle surrounding a golden cornucopia (a horn), there are 24 people standing on platforms like yours. Some look excited, but most look terrified. Backpacks and other resources and weapons are littered throughout the circle, and many are stacked in the opening of the cornucopia. You see that the arena this year is a large canyon, with walls reaching into the sky on all edges. There are little caves and jutting walkways all around the canyon walls. You see a waterfall on one wall a few hundred yards away.

Suddenly, a countdown reaches zero, and everyone leaps from their platforms and onto the ground. Where do you go?

Gerhard is from district seven, and he was just reaped for the hunger games. He is average in most ways, but has a particular talent for tree climbing, probably because he is from a district where lumber is manufactured. The helicopter takes off. The woman and child get on, father staying behind. As you lift off, a horde of zombies gets to the evacuation site, and overruns it. People try to flee but are trapped by military walls meant to keep zombies out. A couple of infected grasp on to the helicopter bottom and the driver circles around quickly to get them off. You dizzly watch. The helicopter smooths out and takes off up into the air. The zombies finish below and begin to fan out. The helicopter pilot seems to of lost contact with the rest of the army in the area.
