In ten minutes, I am standing in fromt of Mc'Chanic Boys dealership. Out in front, washing a very rusted Hyundai Sonata with a missing tire, is a man in his mid-forties with graying black hair and a Mario-styled mustache.

He doesn't seem very friendly from this distance. I can hear him grunt every few seconds in agitation. I approach him cautiously, careful not to disturb him from his work. After what seems like forever, he wipes the sweat of his forehead and turns in my direction.

"Howdy there, girl! How long have you been waitin'?

"Oh not too long," I lie.

He laughs whole-heartedly. "Ya know, you didn't have to wait for me, honey. I'm a lil' hard of hearin' these days. What can I do you for? You lookin' for Fritz? My grandson always got nice little ladies like you lookin' for him. I'll tell you what though, he's a player for sure." He shakes his head and tilts his hat. "My name is Jessie. I'm the head owner of this here dealership. I'd shake your hand in aquaintance, honey, but you don't want to touch these greasey fingers." He chuckles.

I force a laugh; it sounds convincing. "No, no. I'm just here to find a car. I don't need anything too fancy. Just something small, reliable, and good on gas."

Jessie nodds and ushers me to follow him around back. "For most people, I just sell em' whatever I feel like selling em'. That's how I maintain a living. But you seem like a nice little lady going through some personal troubles. I can see it in your eyes."

I rest my eyes on the ground. Is it really that obvious?

"No need to trouble yourself though, honey. I don't judge. I got no reason or right to. We all got problems, honey. I'm willing to maybe lessen yours though. See, I've been working on this 2002 Nissan Altima for some time now. It's still got a few scratches but it runs just fine. It's got an automatic transmission. It's only real problem is that you have to unlock and lock all of the doors manually. It's only got 103,000 miles on it and it's a real nice baby blue color. Just perfect for a small girl like yourself, honey."

I smile, widely. "That sounds perfect! How much are we talking here?"

"Well little lady, normally I would price one of these beauties for a good $5500, but I will sell it to you for $2500."
