You've already killed two police, so you can't help but wonder what the harm is in killing a few more people. You step out of the van, not bothering to hide your weapon. If anyone was around, they would have heard the gunshots, and hiding the weapon seems a little pointless to you.
Sure enough, another campus cop can been seen hurrying toward the van, his weapon drawn.
