With my luck I'll probably get mugged, I think to myself. Wouldn't that be a nice turn of events? On the bright side, it would be a nice break in the day's journey.
I carried on down the path, the forest thinning around me made my way to the outer edges. In the dimming light of day I could see the forest's exist. What, no bandits? I thought in disappointment. What a waste, I would have enjoyed the sport.
As I exited the forest, however, it seemed my disappointment was short lived. No sooner has I stepped out of the sanctuary of the woods then I heard someone coughing off to the far right. Four men stepped out from the trees, two on either side of me, with one on each side wielding a bow and axe respectively.
"I suppose you four are what pass for bandits in these days?" I asked, causally drawing out my sword.
"Looks like we got ourselves an adventurer men," one of the bowmen sneered in disdain.
"Doubt anyone will miss him," an axeman agreed.
I stared on in silence, watching as the two bowmen notched their arrows. Now, who to kill first?
