The bearded man grunts in laughter at this and nods his head in agreement.
"The name is Beldion," he says with a smile, "How about you stranger."
"Ryd," I answered curtly.
"Well, Ryd, if you want my house isn't too far from here. I was just on my way home when I was waylaid by these sorry thugs. It's the least I can do."
"No thanks, but I think I'll be fine," I replied, turning to leave.
"Oh c'mon now, you can't turn down my wife's cooking. She always gets really excited whenever we have guests over. I insist." Beadric closed the gap between us, still smiling as he proffered out his hand.
"What do you say, Ryd?"
