You walk to the machine on the counter near your tinfoil-wrapped tray of pot brownies and delete the message. While you are there, you notice a second message on the machine and play it.
"Uh hey, whaddup, this is Dan, callin' for Hal. Gimme a call at 455-9001."
Dan Ghoulo. A tall, lanky stoner, he was a good friend of yours throughout high school, but it's been more than a year since you've spoken to him.
The last time you saw Dan was at the Dimmu Borgir concert the summer after your graduation. You were on a double-date there and caught your girlfriend of six months, Christine, in his arms. When you started swinging at him, he pulled a knife on you, and security ended up taking him away. You've not heard of him since.
