You look out of the car window at the dark forest.  Rows of trees pass by your vision, almost unnoticed.

Your sitting in a car, while outside the trees surrounded you on all sides.

The black vintage car drives through the winding dirt road in the countryside. It is a quiet yet bumpy drive as the road seems uncared for or unused.

The driver was a pale tall man who wore the formal driver attire, and next to you your sister who was trying to get her cellphone to work.

"Stupid thing no signals means were in the middle of nowhere" She sighed then looked out her window.

Both of you were supposed to go back to your home for Christmas break but instead..... to some vague destination where your parents were.

You and another child sit in the back seat, while a man in his 40's drives. No one bothers to talk.

"Can you please turn on the radio?" your sister trying to talk to the driver. Without saying a word and with a motion of his hands he turned it on.

However.... Ksshhhhh Kshhhhh No stations either u guessed, since there was no cellphone signals sure as hell no radio signals.

You truly were in the middle of nowhere.......

The driver looks down, and turns the radio on.  Static blares from the single speaker on the dash.

Turning the knob he finally finds a station with a woman singing mournfully in French.  ''At least it won't be so quiet'', you think.

Turning the knob again the driver fruitlessly wasnt able to find  anything but static.

But then a station with a woman singing mournfully in French comes on but her voice chopped up it was a poor reception but still it was something.
