"Doctor Kreuger, you are not the legal owner of this property.  This castle belongs to the state, and they have the power to evict you forcefully and immediately."  You hand him the letter.  "I've cited the pertinent laws and ordinances here.  You have thirty days before this case is brought to the attention of the state, and I have made sure it will be whether or not I am there to oversee.  If you move by then, no one will even know you were here.  Any questions?"

"Gabriella, you'd mentioned that he just moved in fifteen years ago. Do you know if he actually owns the property? I am a professional property lawyer, and I'm prepared to investigate this for you and your town."

Gabriella looks at you like you're crazy. "Why does that mean anything?"

"If he does not own that castle, it's likely he can be evicted safely and legally."

Abel looks at you in wonder. "I wonder why no one thought of that sooner!"

You spend the rest of the afternoon doing research. You check town records, make calls out to government agencies and eventually determine that the castle does not, in fact, belong to Doctor Kreuger. It is considered a national monument, and is not supposed to be interfered with in any way.

The next morning, you draft a letter, and Abel drives you up to the castle. You knock on the back door. Igor answers. "Mith Parker! What a pleathure to thee you!"

"Igor, I'm here on business. Can you fetch Doctor Kreuger please?"

"Of courth," Igor says. "Come in, and wait here." He lets you in and hobbles off.

A few minutes later, he returns, accompanied by Doctor Kreuger. "Mellisa!" the doctor says, "I didn't expect to see you back so soon!" He stares at you with a mad smile on his face.

"Unfortunately, I'm here on business, doctor" you reply.

His smile vanishes. "What is this about?"

He looks up from the letter and stares at you, but it's a look of admiration. "You've certainly covered all your bases, haven't you?" He thinks for a moment. "I suppose I always knew this day would come, but I expected it to be accompanied by torches and pitchforks. It usually is. Well, then. I suppose I am moving."

"You're not sore about this, then?" You ask nervously.

"No", he says. "I always have a few backup plans, and no one's ever given me so much advance notice before." He turns from you. "Igor! Implement plan 41B!"

You can't help a bit of curiosity "So... did you really make a crocodile wolf hybrid?"

He looks at you in disgust, "That thing was a very juvenile effort on my part. I'd rather it was forgotten. Igor! Mind the jars!"

You slip out the door and back to Abel's cart. "It's done."

Abel looks surprised. "Really? That was it?"

"Yup. He'll be gone within a month."

You smile as you ride back toward the town. This was a rather unusual case, but moments like these are why you became a lawyer, and they're what you live for.
