Katie turned around and jumped a bit as she didn't expect the girl to be so...intense. A small, Pixie cut girl with piercing blue eyes stared at Katie like a wolf stalking prey. Katie spoke to her.
"Um, hello there..."
Joan droned.
"Hello..."
"I guess we're going to be roommates..." Said Katie nervously.
Joan rolled her eyes.
"Guess so."
"Well, I'm just unpacking. You can get your stuff and we can try to make this place a bit more...home-y."

Katie didn't know how to respond. The girl clearly misread her expression, but explaining it to Joan might make her upset. However, if she went along with it and said that she was happy about something, that might upset Joan as well. In the end, Katie decided to say...
"I'm actually very nervous about us being roommates..." - Makes Joan upset, throwing Katie out of the room
"I'm just happy to be surrounded by all my things" - Makes Joan jealous, destroys something valuable to Katie
"I'm happy that I'm about to take a shower" - Makes Joan jealous, pulls a prank while Katie's away
"I'm happy because I can finally do what I want" - Makes Joan smile, wants to talk more
