My mother breaths a sigh of relief.
"Thanks honey. I was worried I'd just weird you out by asking. I'm glad we can be comfortable around each other like this", she says.
"Yeah, me too", I reply.
"Right, time to get rid of these dirty clothes. Mind closing your eyes for a bit?", mom asks, as she positions herself in front of the clothes hamper, turning her back on you.
