As you enter the kitchen, you see your friend Nathaniel cooking bacon on the wood-burning stove. Although its a nice surprise for you, you are surprised by this, and a little concerned. Your friend turns to greet you, when a look of horror comes over his face. You start to wonder why as poor Nathan is suddenly eaten by a giant monster that reaches through the kitchen window with its enormous tentacles. Had you just snuck out the window you could have saved him! Oh no! The monster then leaves the house and heads for the village.
After seeing this, you:
- Eat what's in the kitchen
- Warn the townspeople
- QM:go back and attack the monster
- Go upstairs and grab your spellbook and dagger, to avenge Nate's death
