"Was that Lord Chorel with whom you were just speaking?" Dez nodded. "Attempting to seduce the boy?" Ellissan asked, raising an eyebrow. "You know that's against the rules."<br />

Dez quickly shook his head. "No, Lord Ferr, I wasn't, I- I was--"<br />

"Relax, Dez," Ellissan said with a chuckle, "I have no intention of calling you out before the Council. But do be careful," he added, sobering. "There are those who would."<br />

"Hold on there, young Dez," Ellissan said, catching him by the sleeve as he turned to go. "There is something you should know about Lord Chorel. I visited a whorehouse not long ago, one that young Lord Chorel frequents, apparently.
