Working where you live would make things a deal easier, you head back down to ask the owner if he wants another waitress. At first he just frowns at you, then he takes a look at the bar. it's pretty busy and his wife and daughter have their hands more than full. "I suppose I might be. Why would a lass like you want to work at a place like this tho?" Good question, from the way he refers to this place as a dump himself, you figure you can just be honest so you reply "Because it beats going hungry and homeless, I'm a school dropout so it's not like I'm gonna find anything much better anyway."
He chuckles at that, seems like this is the right attitude to deal with him. He's still not quite convinced though. "You got any experience doing this kinda work?" You do actually "Yes, I used to help out in my father's chinese restaurant." He scoffs at you. "This ain't no fancy place like that tho, ever deal with any drunk customers?" Not likely at your dad's place, he'd kick any drunks out before you could count to ten. "Let's just say I've been around drunk men often enough." Well, that's the truth at least. He grins at you "Allrighty girl, but don't come sobbing to me cuz some idiot gave you a slap on the backside." With that, he gives you a slap on the backside. You roll your eyes and ignore it.
"There's one more thing." he informs you "This ain't no rich place so don't go expecting any fortune in wages." you assure him high wages was the last thing you were expecting from this place and he scoffs at you. "Allright lass, how about 500$ a month and I'll even throw in free food?" 500$ a month isn't much, but with free food you could cut down on living expenses. You doubt you could get him to increase your wages, but you might be able to squeeze out a discount on your allready dirt-cheap rent.
