You check in at an automated kiosk for your first flight, to Newark. You breeze through security and are retying your shoes when your new companion calls.
"Ms. Deneker?"
You laugh. "Just Susan, thanks. I just got through security; where are you?"
"I'm at our gate. They just announced a half an hour delay, and I was wondering if you wanted to grab coffee before the flight."
"Sure, I'll be at the gate in a moment."
