You start to lose your temper (not that you had much of one to start with) " god damn it Fred, I just woke up to what looks like the fucking Apocalypse and thought I was going to have to kill a man. YOU broke into my house, YOU have answers, and before I do a damn thing your gonna tell me what the fuck is going on! " Fred nods slowly before looking out the window, seemingly thinking. You are about to snap at him again when he responds " you're right, but I don't have time to explain it all. So here's a summary. You said it looks like the apocalypse? Well you might not be far off. An explosion happened over the mountains, around GEPS facility, and it was huge. It shook the buildings in the City, and released a weird red gas through the air. Soon the power went out and martial law was enforced. Then it got worse. People began changing in the city, going 'feral', attacking and.... just doing horrible things to people. Soon the military began evacuating the city, but by then it was too late. I got out before that, but I've seen some shit...." Freddy seemed to stare off in the distance, as if watching an unseen movie "Had to kill a guy, dude just attacked me and wouldn't stop... " he paused and looked at his hands, shaking a little before continuing " I needed a gun, and wanted to get you, so two birds and one stone. And I would tell you more but we got to go, I don't know how long before people start going feral around here, so for the love of god, go get some food. " with that, his grin returns and he pats you on the shoulder before he turns around and starts packing shit again. You can barely think, his words just now starting to make sense. The silence outside becomes a whole lot more ominous and you grip your knife a bit tighter. You nod and turn around, thinking of all the supplies to grab.
