Oh god, I didn't know how wrong I was. I jumped at the branch, trying to grab it. I got a single handed grip, trying to pull myself up, and when I finally got halfway up, it snapped. In a matter of seconds, I was in the air, hitting my head on the windowsill, and then landing under the branch. Turns out, longer branch is heavier, not stronger. I found that out as it compressed my chest, making me unable to breathe. I reached up to try to push the branch up, but it was too heavy. I began to get dizzy, and attempted to pull myself against the wall to get leverage. The lack of air, combined with a concussion from hitting my head made it impossible to be coordinated, and I just knocked a flowerpot onto its side. Getting weaker, I futilely let out a scream that was more of a gasp, before my vision was set over by the dark haze of death.

Alex would later be found tied to a chair without a head. The head wouldn't be found for a week, when it turned up in his neighbors garbage can. Police went on to determine the killer removed his head with a hacksaw, and kept it for the following week before finding somewhere to dispose of it.
