The dude checks his list. "You're not on the list."
"I grew up with Josie. She's my cousin."
"I've had sixteen people come up here, claiming to be her cousin. What makes you think she wants her family here anyway?" He looks at you, but it seems like he doesn't see you.
"Just let me in, I'll get Josie, bring her back here, and she'll tell you I'm her cousin, just before she fires you," you say with a little heat. You're mad now.
"I'm real scared."
