The cave is to small, it has enough space for both you and Nerubi and some more. But nowhere close to big enough if you want to have children. Once Nerubi left the cave you start to work, digging your hard hands through the rock and tearing in to to smaller pieces. Throwing the dirt and rocks on the water, you dig two large holes through the walls of the cave.
"What are you doing?"
Nerubi asks you from behind, her head peeking through the water. She must have heard the noise and come to see what was happening. You give a few gestures and grunts, your ability to speak still underdevelopment, and she does seem to get the message across.
"Hmmmm, you should dig the ground too to allow water to enter those rooms, while I can survive outside of water, it's dangerous for me if my body becomes dry."
Listening to her concern you dig the ground of one the holes, allowing water to enter it, just enough to reach to your knees. This hole would be yours and Nerubi's room. As for the other one, you reckon it can function as your safe, a place where you keep things. Turning back, you notice that Nerubi is sitting on bed rock, eating the fish she just caught.
