You're name is Lariel. With no family to relate though, you've started from scratch. As a young aprentice, you remember the struggle you had to take classes at the prestigious academy of waterdeep to learn magic. That was years ago. You've honed your craft through study and adventuring and even managed to inherit the tower of a wicked sorcerer that dabbled into demonic magic. As master of the tower now, you've taken it to advance your own skills, even taking an aprentice, a young girl named Ilara. A shy but promising pupil.

Unfortunately, not all is well. The tower is located in the territory of a greedy guild of thieves. Not only that but now that the tower has returned an official owner, the waterdeep autority seeks payment as it was illegaly acquired by the late sorcerer.
