As you begin to explore your surroundings, you discover the world you knew is over. Corpses are everywhere. Houses and business are burning. You never discover what caused it, but over the next few months you do the best you can to survive the madness. Melanie leaves, but returns to tell you she's pregnant. She loathes you, but knows she can't survive on her own.
