You try to move around, wiggling about, but your body can feel the great, agonizing pain from the blackness of your eye.

You groan a little and your mom tells you to keep still and relax; and that “you should just rest now. The day is over, okay?”

And so you sigh and lean back, happy about the day’s events. If not for your own choices, Carl wouldn’t have stopped bullying you for the entire school year and beyond. Indeed, the day was amazing and you couldn’t have chosen better options than that.

Eventually, you fall asleep – a very deep sleep now, for the very first time in years. The sense of freedom may even had felt a little too unreal because you catch a glimpse of a walking sloth passing by the hallway. You laugh to yourself as you knock out.
